Yay! a KAL...

Okay, here i go, trying to be a hard-core knitter.

ANNOUNCING...

52_pair_plunge_banner
The week of 1 April (in honor of my birthday, which is not 1 April but IS during that week), The 52 Pair Plunge KAL will commence. Anyone interested in participating must pledge to knit 52 pairs of socks between now and 1 April 2008.  There is no restriction on type of sock (child/adult/decorative/etc.) or level of difficulty or material used. Have fun with it!  Of course, it is suggested to do a pair of socks each week of the year, but for those of us who like to procrastinate ;D... you just need to have 52 pairs done by the date above.  If you're interested in participating, please help yourself to the button below AND please send me an email (eknitabeth AT gmail DOT com) so i can track your progress!

Best of Luck!
E.

Thanks for the comment and the invite. I'm tempted, but I'm not sure I'm quite up to the commitment of that many socks just yet. It does seem like a worthy goal though. Good luck!

I'm so in. Do I still have to send you and email to join the insanity?

I just found your blog through another blogger - I'm in and sent you an email, should be fun!

I'm in...sending email and grabbing the button!

I want to be a hard core knitter too. Count me in. I sent you an email. Oh btw, I found you via the blog hop.

What a great idea!! I'd love to try but if I'm being truthful I know I'll never get that many done! There'd be no time for any other knitting!
Sure would reduce the stash tho~~

Just sent an email... I'm sooooo in on this one! Have 3-4 sock things going at the moment, so I might as well make em count for something!

Since signups end on the 7th, is it safe to assume that's your birthday? If so, you share a bd with my oldest son, whose bd is also the 7th. Number 2 son's is the 9th.

Wow! I think? I'm up to the challenge!? I like the idea of knitting a mini pair here and there. I'm willing to give it a try... Count me in. :)

Sent you an e-mail, and can't wait to go home and gaze upon my basket of "Socks - Some Assembly Required". This should be great fun!

Well, duh . . . typed my own blog wrong! Should be www.tippeca-needle.blogspot.com

If you said lace scarves out of sock-weight yarn, I would so be there. They work up fast, they don't cost much, and it's so easy to make someone feel thought of with only a few hours' worth of work.

Wow, I can't even imagine promising to make 52 socks, let alone pairs. Well.....I have recently become addicted to knitting the wee tiny socks from the challenge that were on the yarnmiracle blog. I make about one a day. I was planning to give them as ornaments this Christmas as well as make a small sock tree for myself. I could probably do 12 pairs or more of "real" socks and 40 pairs of the wee socks. I guess that means that I am in.

Most importantly, Happy Birthday.
